You’ll embark on your day tour to Tetouan with a nice drive through the speedy road. The drive takes around an hour and once you arrive in Tetouan, you’ll have a guided walking tour through the Medina. The Medina of Tetouan nicknamed the little Granda or the white dove, was listed by the UNESCO as World Heritage Site thanks to the authenticity, charm and diversity with which it has been endowed. Appreciate the unique lifestyle with the bustling cafes and vibrant Souks that are divided into sections. Visit the Archaelogical Museum and have a chat with local women, and why not take pictures with their local dress.
After Tetouan you’ll drive back to Tangier and head to the west of the city reaching the Neolithic Hercules Caves.
Continue on the track to the promontory Cap Spartel, nestling against an ancient cliff. On the northwest point of mainland Africa, looking out onto the coast of Spain, is the light-house.
The views from here are stunning. At this point, the Atlantic Ocean & the Mediterranean both converge.
You’ll have a short break for taking pictures in the Perdicaris Park. This wealthy person had lived in Tangier from the late 19th to beginning of the 20th century.
Drive through the California District with its fancy villas, mansions, palaces including the Royal Palace, before reaching Merchan district where some of the beautiful palaces and villas are located.
You’ll make a stop in the Hafa district where you’ll see the ancient necropolis dating back to the Carthaginian time.
After that you’ll walk to the Kasbah District, which is built uphill and used to be the military and administrative area up until the 19th century.
You’ll pass by the Kasbah mosque built in the 17th century by the Sultan of Morocco after getting the city back from the British.
You’ll enjoy view from the mirador overlooking the Strait of Gibraltar, the Iberian Peninsula & the Medina.

TANGIER AND TETOUAN DAY TRIP REVIEWS
Mohammed is an excellent tour guide. He is very knowledgeable about history and culture; I learned so much on our day tour to Tetouan. He is very personable and has a pleasant personality. Mohammed is open to suggestions and has recommendations of his own. We had a nice light lunch which he suggested instead of going to the overpriced tourist restaurant that I had written down. Mohammed is multilingual so communication is easily facilitated with his clients. You will be very happy with Mohammed as your guide.
